Connection:
with the national socio-political, cultural movements
Members of Pantip have organized many activities outside
of the virtual world.
They meet and take social actions, such as visiting orphanages, rally against
the military regime,
broadcast internet radios and create many political websites to report news
that was not covered in the mainstream media. They showed support of the
political
parties of their choice.
Meaningful connection that contributes to noticeable
changes in the society
encourages members to remain voluntarily active.

Translation: Is it time we opened a new discussion room called "Media: Critical
Media Analysis for Better Quality Media"?

Only a few hours after the new Thai Prime Minister
had talked live on the TV and the radio,
the file of his broadcast was shared by his fans. File sharing allows members to
stay abreast of what goes on in the country,
although some members may have missed some events. Therefore, members of
this community
can stay informed through this virtual network.

TPBS, a public TV that is still being run by the team appointed by the military regime, discussed the massacres in the main events in the past five decades, but failed to mention the 2006 coup and abuses. This member sends a message to TPBS, indirectly.
