CALL-Technology in Education

I have been keenly enthusiastic about how technologies are advancing so rapidly, and so are their influences over our lives in the 21st century.  I am trying to catch up with the waves so that I know what is out there and how educators can effectively embrace them into their practices.  Enjoy your visit ,and I would appreciate all comments or suggestions sent to sthinsan@indiana.edu.

In the era of Web 2.0, the world is brought together through many web-based social networks. Anybody with access to the Internet doesn't need programming skills can publish in professional ways that were hardly imaginable a decade ago.   Now, all these social networks, such as Facebook, hi5, orkut, Ning, Friendster, Hyves, imeem, LinkedIn, MySpace, Oracle, Plaxo, Salesforce.com, Six Apart, XING and tons out there are not stopping. Google has recently gathered the great developers of these social networks together to talk about how they can work together in making social experiences on the web virtually limitless!!!

Thanks, friends.  The most important question for us educators is how we can best utilize these new opportunities.
